| Frequently
Asked Questions
About Florida Rafting Adventures.
Who can go on a Florida rafting trip?
We welcome enthusiasts of all ages who are in reasonable physical
condition.
Minimum age requirements vary by river and season. Springtime
trips may require increased minimum age requirements, as the
level of difficulty increases.
Each participant should be able
to swim. If you or a member of your group are pregnant or
have special health or physical considerations, please call
our office and consult a physician for recommendations.
A parent or guardian must give
permission for an unaccompanied minor (aged 17 years or younger)
to participate in all Whitewater Rafting river trips.
Which river trip
is best for us?
Each river we raft is unique. Beginners and adventurers alike
may find what they are looking for on one of the many rivers
available through Thrill Planet Water Rafting Trips.
Florida Rafting specialists are experts at matching individuals
and groups to the appropriate river.
What
do the different river ratings mean?
Florida rafting rivers are rated on difficulty scale of
Class I (flatwater) to Class VI (unrunnable).
When should I make
a reservation?
Certain days during the season sell-out quickly, so we encourage
calling Florida Rafting as early as possible to check availability.
While reservations are required in advance to participate
on a rafting trip, we are always busy taking "last-minute
reservations".
How do I make a
reservation?
You can reserve your Florida rafting trip with one easy
phone call by calling Florida Rafting at 352-759-3483.
How many people
fit in a boat?
Most rafts can comfortably accommodate up to 7 guests plus
their guide. However, some rivers require the use of smaller
boats that can negotiate the tighter chutes and rapids typical
of Class IV & V rafting. If you have a group that is interested
in rafting, Florida Rafting specialists will make every effort
to accommodate you, and customize your rafting trip.
Can I reserve my
own boat?
Yes! We can usually accommodate special requests if you discuss
it with our rafting specialists in advance.
